Dear Stormy, I'm confused, my computer hates me.  Every time I surf to a place of interest I get kicked off line and can't find that site again.  Do you have any suggestions?   Signed: Lost in Cyberspace

Dear Lost, When you arrive on a site of interest Bookmark it immediately or write down the url address.   Then if you get kicked off line you will be able to find that site again.

Dear Stormy,   I'm having a family crisis.  I am a single 38 year old professional woman.   For the past 6 months I have been chatting with an exciting younger man I met in a chat room.  We have never met in person but have been discussing meeting each other.   Last week I was at a family function and over heard my brother telling his friend about a woman he met on the internet.  When I heard him mention my user name I thought I would faint but when he mentioned his user name I knew I was in trouble.   My brother is happily married with 3 kids.  How should I handle this situation? Signed: Sibling Chat

Dear Sibling, This just goes to prove that anonymity is not always the best policy.  In cyberspace you can act out your fantasies.  However, they may not necessarily work well with reality.  If you can keep fantasy and reality separate you are into a good thing.   But now that you know, who you have been chatting with you might want to keep your fantasies out of reality.  I would suggest that you find another cyber friend.

Dear Stormy, I'm a single man and find myself addicted to chatting online.  I find it more stimulating than going to parties or single bars with friends. I'm afraid of becoming a recluse.   What should I do? Signed: BarFly caught in the WEB

Dear BarFly, You are not becoming a recluse.  You are using your mind in other stimulating ways.   Tangible interaction is the ultimate culmination of your efforts because in the long run your online chats will result in meeting person to person.

Dear Stormy, Every summer I go to camp.  Me and my friends are always looking for cute boys.  This summer we find we have more fun flirting with boys in chat rooms.  I started chatting with a really nice boy that I thought could be that special one.  Then he e-mailed his picture.  Even though I like his personality I am not attracted to his appearance.  What do I do?  Signed: Disappointed

Dear Disappointed, Don't judge a book by it's cover!
